The thing about low expectations

Posted on 16. Nov, 2009 by Brett in Leadership

If your English sucks…

If you come from the hood…

If you’re fat or short or ugly…

If your family is full of crazies…

If you don’t have the right clothes…

If you only have a high school degree…

If you aren’t experienced enough in your field…

If you’re really pretty and everyone thinks you’re stuck up…

If you’re from the south and people think you’re an ignorant redneck…

Be thankful.

Low expectations can pave a road of despair…

or one heck of a RUNWAY

Depends on how you look at it.

That’s the thing about low expectations.

I get those last 2 all the time. My philosophy is: If you want your expectations met just lower them… It seems to work most of the time.

BTW is this the trapstr translation?
    I like it.

If you’re from the south and people think you’re an ignorant redneck… (admit it, you really had “If your an Alabama fan…” at first but it wasn’t long enough to make that cool design of increasing length so you had to change it… I knew it. ;) )

Great stuff bro. I needed to see the “Be Thankful” after a disappointment (in our eyes) with a huge project.

Good point Brett. Low expectations due to unfair stereotypes or whatever make it easier to over deliver. I’d rather under promise and over deliver than the opposite.

Great spin on a commonly used excuse to feel bad about yourself/situation.
